Join the SRQ Vets for Our Third Annual Memorial Day 5k
This Memorial Day weekend, show your support and participate in the 3rd Annual Memorial Day 5k. The 5k hike will take place on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Veterans and civilians are invited to walk as a way to remember the fallen and support local veterans. To participate in the march we request a $20 donation, which includes participation in the march, as well as the after party, with food and drinks, raffles, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and a Veterans Bike Show.
Our 3rd Annual Memorial Day 5k will take place at Hap’s Honda at 2530 17th Street in Sarasota, Florida. In addition to the bike show, food, raffles, drinks, and silent auction, we will also have a raffle that participates can enter for the chance to win a 2018 Honda Grom. The Honda Grom is an award-winning air-cooled motorcycle. The winner of the 2018 Grom will be announced on July 28, 2018. There will also be runner-up prizes, so make sure to enter your name into this raffle for the chance to win.
Your $20 donation for participation in the 3rd Annual Memorial Day 5k will go to Operation Rubix and M.O.T.S. Operation Rubix is a local program created to provide treatment and mental health services to veterans and their families. At Operation Rubix we strive to help veterans and their families with mental health conditions such as PTSD, depression, and so on. With your $20, we can continue to help local veterans in need.
